Program Objectives: To train students in the development of imaginative, purposeful and skilled expression of theatre.
History: Founded in 1968 in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach, PBA is a private Christian university located in a metropolitan environment adjacent to one of the nation’s premier performing arts centers, world class ballet and opera, regional theatres and museums providing many internships and job opportunities. PBA offers a highly competitive BFA positioning our graduates for successful careers. Our more rounded BA degree allows students to double major. Come connect, commit, and create with us!
Facilities, Classrooms, and Theatres: The Fern Street Theatre, a nearly 12,000 square foot, two story building on Fern Street includes a “Black Box” theatre, scene shop, costume shop and houses offices, classrooms and performance space.
Scholarships and/or Assistantships: The PBA Theatre program awards scholarships to a select number of highly talented and promising students each year. These scholarships are available through a competitive process that includes an interview and audition with the Theatre faculty of PBA. Students who accept these scholarships must declare a major in the Theatre Program during the period of the scholarship and maintain at 3.0 GPA.
