Program Objectives: Theatre at FGCU is committed to train and educate future technicians, artists, teachers and creative industry leaders.
History: Florida Gulf Coast University opened in 1997, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The theatre department was established in 1998, and offers the Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with an emphasis in acting or technical theatre and a Theatre Minor. A low student/faculty ratio promotes personalized attention and creative industries of the now, and of the future.

Scholarships and/or Assistantships: Competitive four-year scholarships for FTIC students, and one-year retention scholarships for students who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship and service.
