Program Objectives: We want to prepare you for a life in the arts… and for life. Our training program goes beyond a traditional conservatory-style approach—immersing you in all aspects of theatrical creation. Our program will challenge you to develop your talents, to cultivate your knowledge, and to think globally in a wider world of cultures and ideas.
History: Arcadia University’s history stretches back to 1853. Today, Arcadia is one of greater Philadelphia’s top universities, with a global focus and an educational experience for its nearly 3,000 students infused with justice, equity, inclusion, and diversity. Our Theater Program has been producing graduates for over 25 years who have gone on to make work that is human and specific for over 25 years. We have alumni who've headed to top graduate schools and built careers on stage and screen.
Facilities, Classrooms, and Theatres: We do theater everywhere on our campus, whether that's in our Little Theater, the Castle, outside in site-specific pieces or in our newer Black Box space.
Scholarships and/or Assistantships: Students who are called back are automatically accepted into our BFA degree and awarded a talent scholarship once they submit their Common Application to the University.
